The Solar-Array Supervisor is an optional in-house device that enables you to monitor and control up to five Furl-Kit Array CPUs. An LCD display on the Supervisor provides the current status of the Solar Array Farm, as well as the current wind speed, daily high and all-time high. A switch allows you to manually send “Furl” or “Remove Snow” commands to the entire farm.
The Supervisor wirelessly communicates with each CPU over an encrypted IEEE 802.15.4 digital network. The modules operate within the ISM 2.4 GHz frequency
band and do not require a special FCC License. They have a range of 300 feet in a congested setting and up to one mile with a clear line of site.
Each installation is set up on a unique Personal Area Network (PAN) to ensure there is no interference from other nearby Furl-Kit installations. The Supervisor has an Ethernet RJ45 jack on the side that can connect to your home network. Once connected to the network, you can view and change all configuration options for the Solar-Array Farm through a robust Web Interface.
What about the Web Interface?
